Prior to Cathay, Alick worked for the China Development Bank (CDB) for over 12 years, first as a Deputy Director and Deputy Chief of the Client Division in the Shenzen Branch and then as the Acting Chief Commissioner of the Nordic Office.

He has extensive experience in complex overseas financing activities (executing over US $7 billion, including acquisition, project and export credit financing) as well as domestic lending for the bank’s key clients. In his role at the Nordic office, he built strategic relationships with Nordic enterprises (Volvo, Maersk, Ericsson) to promote outbound investments to China, expanding and coordinating inbound investments by Chinese enterprises into the Nordic region. He is also the initiator of the China Sweden Technology and Innovation Fund.

Alick received his Master’s Degree in Finance from Zhejiang University and his Bachelor’s Degree from Xiamen University.
