AI & Healthcare: Building Bridges Through Collective Dialogue

On April 29 we hosted the very first Healthcare AI Cocktail Hour, in partnership with AWS and Sanofi — a new format designed to create genuine, cross-disciplinary conversations around one of the most pressing transformations of our time: the integration of AI in healthcare.

While artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries at a staggering pace, healthcare remains one of the most complex — and promising — arenas for innovation. The rise of vertical AI, specialized models, and real-world applications marks a turning point: AI is no longer a buzzword, but a toolkit for solving deeply rooted operational, clinical, and structural challenges.

And yet, there is still a gap between those building the technology and those who operate at the heart of care. That’s where we believe our role lies: curating spaces for dialogue, bringing together startups, corporates, researchers, and practitioners, and fostering the kind of informal, high-quality interactions that spark lasting collaborations.

This inaugural edition brought together a select group of entrepreneurs, healthcare leaders, and AI experts to explore:

  • How AI is being used today in hospital workflows, patient care, and drug development
  • What technical, regulatory, and ethical challenges lie ahead
  • And how partnerships across the ecosystem can accelerate adoption in a meaningful way

💡 From curated 1:1 meetings to a live panel featuring voices from SanofiAWSELSANBiolevate, and Lifen, the event reflected the richness — and complexity — of this evolving landscape.

For us at Cathay Innovation, organizing vertical-specific events like this is not just a communication effort. It’s a way to reaffirm our commitment to sector-led innovation, connect the dots across the value chain, and give room for ideas to turn into action.

We’re convinced this is just the beginning.
More editions to come. More ecosystems to activate.
