Before joining Cathay in 2019, Ms. Zhang worked with SBCVC (SoftBank VC), responsible for investment in new energy, auto and high-tech industry in China. Earlier in her career, Ms. Zhang worked for Citi in New York, where she focused on investments and M&A in the TMT industry. She also established Citi Latam China Desk in Brazil, catering to Chinese companies across Latin America. Before that, she contributed her expertise to China Mobile Communications Corporation, in charge of 31 subsidiaries’ investment and asset management. Ms. Zhang earned her MBA from Georgetown University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master of Law from the University of International Business and Economics.
